What comes in your mind when you are search for “Digital Marketing “. I think running ads , social media , Google ads , facebook ads or even Youtube also. But the truth is something different And when you start learning and doing it seems frustuating , lonely you feel when you are doing it alone. Sometimes come when you just learn from youtube or any other source and you waste so much time in that where you don’t have to but I am tellinng the time you waste is not considered as waste it is a part of your journey . But don’t worry about it i am here for you to tell you what exactly you have to do and what not to. I am also learning digital marketing but i find some hacks or you can say some techniques to overcome it.
The “Truth” I am talking about ….
• You don’t need to learn everything at once
Here what i mean you don’t have to learn everything at once like seo , google ads , facebook ads etc. Instead of this you can choose one and first learn the basics of it then moveon to the next one this will really help you to manage your time and efforts. It will hardly take 1 month to learn all the basics then expand it. Choose what you like and lets take a example you like Google ads and GA4 so you have to deep dive into it for atleast 3 month to learning and applying it all.
• Free Content alone doesn’t give you clarity
This is where you have to think free content only give you the basic clarity but can’t give you what you think. At some point you realise that all free content are more or like same. So here you have to shift towards ‘paid content’. You just have to find a course that best fit your budget and what want to learn and remember that the course you are buying it must be more than 10 hours. Because if that course have less hour of content it will ruin your money and cannot give you that knowledge you want.
• Tools don’t make you marketer
Many learner wasting their time in learning tools like chatgpt , canva or Google ads. They don’t know what to do after and what their goal of learning it. Lets take an example – if just want to create website and only want to publish blogs or projects on it so why you are learning canva. Every tool have different use like Canva is for making thumbnail and images making , you have to learn wordpress if you want to make website there is no use of canva in that. You have to know ‘ Why ‘ before ‘ How ‘ , this is exactly where most of the beginners make mistake and regret it later.
• Practical project matters more than just Certificate
Collecting Certificates make you feel good but if you don’t learn from that certificate you get , its just a piece of paper nothing else. You need real practical projects to learn digital marketing , certificate doesn’t make you a good marketer it only gives you feeling that I have a certificate i can do anything but the reality is you don’t have practical skills and industry don’t need certificates they need real knowledge. Lets take an example if you complete a course by just fast forwarding it for just a certificate , what it will give you in result knowledge ? No it only give you a piece of paper that have no value if i tear it from middle , I think it doesn’t create any impact on your resume or future.
• You’ll Feel Lost — and That’s Normal
In this industry you feels lost because the industry changes so fast we cannot imagine it , but you don’t have to be worry about it. You just need to be consistent like you are going to Gym for building body at some point you realise i work hard but my body is not transforming in this case you just need to stay consistent you don’t have think more about result. This exactly apply in this field also stay consistent , motivated and not to think about quiting because everything will be good and you will figure out at right moment. You have to ” focus more on action than result ” because result is not in your hand but your action does.
• Networking Speeds Up Everything
There is a old saying if you want to grow faster so you have to build connection with the right people. What you can do is joining communities , follow pages on linkedIn , youtube and even discord group. Its give you clarity about the digital marketing how it work and what new things you can do and even if you have any doubt you can simplly ask them. This will directly help you and saves your month of learning and confusion about DM and AI.
